GLASS FUSING WORKSHOP
When you come to a workshop, you will be provided with all materials, equipment and instruction needed to make your own unique fused glass pieces. We start the workshop by introducing you to the tools and equipment needed and then we practice the techniques you will need. Once we've covered the basics you are free to let your creativity take over.

Each workshop student is given a slab of ceramic which is where they place their assembled glass pieces on to be fired. You can make up to 5 ready to wear pieces if you are making jewelry. For the more adventurous, or those less interested in making jewelry, you can also make sun catchers, nightlight's or whatever your creative mind can imagine!
This is a very creative, fun and interactive experience and unlike anything you have done before. The workshops last around 2 hours depending on the person, you may take longer if you wish. Once finished, your designs are fired in our kilns to approx 1500°F and then cooled to room temperature. Once cooled, we attach the jewelry fixings and carefully wrap them, pop them in our pretty gift bag and return them to you free of charge. More examples can be seen on our facebook page.

HOW TO BOOK
You need to book the workshop in advance and you can do this here.
We welcome groups and the studio can hold up to 8 people.
This can be a fun activity and we are happy to organize private workshops for birthdays or other celebrations, Team Building exercises or simply just a group of friends getting together to have some fun. Please ask about our group rates.
Remember the glass gets extremely hot in our kilns to allow the fusing to take place, so please note it takes at least 5 hours to get the pieces cooled. If you are visiting the island, you should be aware of this when you are working out your holiday schedule. To avoid disappointment don't leave booking our workshop until the end of your trip.

WORKSHOP LOCATION
The workshops are held in our store in the Clocktower Mall, Dockyard . We have a studio area at the back of our shop where we hold the workshop and this is where we create all our products for the store.
This set up works really well because if you need a little bit of inspiration you can take a wander around the store and try to recreate you own version of something you see.
